The seminar aims at leveraging the latest advances in usable security and privacy in order to design and implement a browser-based structure for the protection of minors from malicious actions in OSNs and mobile applications.
The structure will aim to protect minors against cyberbullying, sexually abusive acts and fake activity on OSNs such as Facebook, Instagram, OoVoo, WhatsApp, Snapchat, etc.

- Empower minors or their adult supervisors with such control tools that unveil malicious social web information or online actions, and enable them to easily protect their sensitive content from unwarranted access by unscrupulous OSN

- Utilize the latest technology in internet security and privacy in order to design and install a browser-based structure for the protection of minors using OSNs and mobile applications
On completion of the seminar, participants will be able to:
- Understand the great importance of the internet
- Recognize that the Internet does not guarantee security for a minor user
- Be aware of cases where cyberbullying and grooming for minors can occur.
- Advise and support prevention of cyberbullying and grooming for minors.
- Identify measures to avoid cyberbullying and grooming
- Identify which OSNs applications are mostly used by minors.
- Familiarize themselves with the various “parental control” tools which can
be installed in mobile phones, laptops and tablets.
